Introduction :
Bala is an excellent energy booster that significantly allays stress, anxiety and fatigue.It is a potent tonic, which is extremely useful in Convalescence as it effectively replenishes lost energy and ameliorates residual pain and inflammation.
Ephedrine and Pseudoephedrine are the active alkaloids in Sida cordifolia or Bala. Thus, also known as Indian Ephedra, this herb efficientlyameliorates respiratory tract inflammation, asthmatic bronchitis and nasal congestion. It is being used by Traditional Chinese Medicine since ages for the treatment of asthma and hay fever.
It also contains Phytosterols, having significant estrogenic activity. Bala effectively boosts up the metabolism as well.
