Introduction :

Prostate, a walnut-sized small organ situated near the urinary bladder neck and urethra, produces a part of seminal fluid. This small organ starts exhibiting certain problems in men over 50 years of age, commonest being Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), wherein the Prostate gradually starts growing in size and presses upon the adjoining structures. It may compress the Urethra, leading to impediment in the flow of urine. This gives rise to various associated symptoms, such as urinary urgency, frequency and hesitancy, and may lead to chronic retention of urine, urinary tract infection (UTI) and calculi as well. Indications :

Prostinex-S is recommended for Patients suffering from BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) and allied symptoms, which include any of these: increased urinary frequency, urgency (compelling need to void that cannot be differed), urgency incontinence, voiding at night (nocturia), weak urinary stream, hesitancy (needing to wait for the stream to begin), intermittency (when the stream starts and stops intermittently), straining to void and dribbling .

Dosage

1-2 Capsules twice daily with water or as directed by the Physician. The therapy must be continued for at least 3 months in the recommended dosage. It may be continued for a longer duration as per Physician’s advice.

Note: Do check Serum PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) before initiating the Therapy. Prostinex-S Capsule is not meant for patients with malignant changes in Prostate.
